FAQs

Should an artist/musician hire an attorney?

We encourage anyone to retain an attorney to ensure they are making the best decisions for their brands.

Is a website necessary for an artist?

Yes. A website describes your brand and demonstrates that you are business-ready.

Do I need a manager if this is a hobby?

No, you do not need a manager if this is a hobby. When you want to level up and make a living from your hobby, you’re now in career territory. This is where we step in.

I want to get booked onto shows, but isn’t my manager supposed to handle getting musicians booked?

No. A manager is not a booking agent. We can assist in connecting you to one.

Is my manager financially responsible for the costs associated with my career?

Not usually. Managers may assist in understanding the costs and working with others on said costs, but managers are not responsible for music videos, photoshoots, stylists, make-up artists, studio sessions, album production, and/or songs, personal bills, travel, showcases, marketing, promotion, wardrobe, features, etc.

How are these expenses covered?

The financial burden is on the talent. If a manager financially invests in an artist, those are recoupable expenses. Always discuss/consult with an attorney beforehand.
